Son of soccer legend, Thiago joined the Inter Miami academy when he was 10 years old and became a member of the MLS club’s U12 team

Lionel Messi‘s legacy at Inter Miami is only growing, with his son Thiago now added to the franchise’s academy.

Thiago was listed among the additions to the U12 squad despite not being assigned to a club prior.

In what looks to be by design, Inter Miami mentioned Thiago’s name without any of the pomp and circumstance his father received upon joining the Fort Lauderdale franchise.

The 10-year-old, who turns 11 on November 2, moved with his two younger brothers and his parents to Fort Lauderdale in July.

Since arriving the Messi family have captured the imagination of the American soccer world.

Naturally, Inter Miami’s No. 10 has been the cause of much commotion and attention but both is wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and the three boys have been front and center.

While far too young to take the pitch with their father, Messi has been sure to keep his kids in mind.

According to Goal, Messi’s sons are huge Marvel fans and his celebration was in tribute to them.

Messi’s celebration vs. Atlanta back in late July was in recognition of the Marvel character, Thor.
